2000 Blazer
I installed a Rough Country 2.5in lift on my 2000 chevy Blazer. Now I keep blowing cv axles. Should I install the cv axles used in the SR2 modal?
Any help here would be very appreciated Dean |
Did you drop the front diff? Is so, are the torsion bars cranked up?
|
Torsion keys are a must to have the front end sitting proper with the lift, also thw drop bracket for the diff and wedge for the passenger side.
the real issue is the cheap rubber they are using with the cv axles now a days... The zr2 cv axles will not fit, even with the lift. |
Yes we dropped the dif and the torsion bars are cranked up

Thank you for the input

Are the cv joints breaking/wearing out or are the cv-joint covers coming off?
I found when I did my lift that the inner joint covers detatched from the larger flange. I was able to fix one with a large hose clamp and had to replace the other. The original joint covers are pretty stiff compared to the neoprene ones you can get now. |
