2000 Boring Blazer Build

Got the tires removed yesterday, only cost around $6 at walmart to have them removed, and that was only the disposal fee for the old tires. I cleaned them with oven cleaner, which works okay. Hopefully this weekend I can fix some of the scuffs and the minor rash on the one wheel.

So I friday night I scrubbed these things down with SOS pads which scuffed them up pretty good. I primed them saturday then painted some yesterday. That is when i noticed how thick the peeling clear coat was. I had hoped that the primer and paint would even it out, that was no the case.
Here is the worst damage out of all 4 wheels, not too bad.
Here is some shots of the peeling clear coat. I scuffed enough of it to stop the peeling, but I should have sanded it smooth. Here are some close ups of the clear coat
Ready for primer
Here are couple shots in primer
I'll grab some shots of them painted and post them later today or tomorrow.

So I got all 4 wheels half painted. I got 2 painted on the back and 2 on the front. I wasn't going to paint the back but while I was priming I couldn't not notice how crappy the inside looked. So here are some pictures.
I also painted the center caps, now nobody will know that I have ABS.
