To pull off the look your going for you really need to have a 2wd. there is no way to go that low with a 4wd. Ive seen a few trucks run without the torsion bars completly but I DO NOT reccomend that at all.

Plus, by doing that you essentially have...a 2WD truck with no front springs. Easier to trade your truck for a 2WD or change the plans, really.

This is what you're looking for. I made a mistake, you don't need lowering shackles, its a lowering block/U bolts. Basically the blocks go between your rear diff and the leaf springs, lowering the ride hight in the rear. The Torsion keys that are supplies arn't really neccecary. Look up Lowering block s10 on Ebay, they run around 29.99. The torsion keys are located on the underside, close to where the front and rear doors meet. Look for long bars, from the front end to mid way down of the underside. You'll see a bolt sticking out on either torsion bar.

i see, ill try that, but at the moment i have a bigger problem, bad valve cover gaskets, leaking oil on my manifolds and almost starting my truck on fire. when i do the gaskets ill mess with the torsion bars a bit, ill throw it up on craigslist for 2500$ or trade for a short bed short cab 2wd s10.? did they even make those in a 4.3? cause i feel like a 2.2 has almost 0 balls.

Yes, they made regular s10s with a 4.3.

did the valve cover gasket, works fine now, got it inspected, putting my magnaflow muffler on hopefully saturday, ordering my cai tomorrow, getting a set of these for 200$ off a friend, running 2inch wheel spacers in the rear, 1 inch in the front, how you think it will look? also have new tires :) if i have time im gonna try and get 2 inches of lowering out of my truck over the weekend, is that do able?http://car-part.com/images/interchange/W5089A.gif

I see the appeal of the drop (not the wheels... never liked them) but why keep the 4X4 while doing that? It'll be basically useless, even in snowy weather, the snow will stop you before not having 4X4 will.
