Got some sylvania LED license plate bulbs and put them in yesterday.


I am getting some 5630 LED strips for the new 3rd brake light. Those suckers are bright. I found some mounting hardware for them and some slightly frosted lens for the mounting channel.

 

Yeah those should be pretty good. You getting 5M and cutting to length?

 

superbright sells a 39" section of the 5050, and also sells 39" of the housing for them as well. I wont have to trim much off of either of them, its about 34" across the top, inside of the window.
I was thinking of getting one of the giant spools that they sell on amazon or ebay, but the reviews and the company alone has me wanting to get from superbright.

Today I ordered some 5050 LED strips, and u channel mount for them with frosted lens. I will be separating then into 2 strips along the top of the back window (inside) left half will be left turn/brake/signal, and the right half will obviously be the right turn/brake/signal

 

Ahh, 5050s are really bright. I got some super cheapo temp 5050 pnp parking lights for the truck and they are bright as gosh (as we say here in Utah).

Good to know, Do you think separating them one half to one side and other to the other and having them function as all functions instead of just being a brake light is too much?

Nah, it'll look good either way. It adds a little flair with the turns incorporated too.
