Default 2004 Zr2 Build

Picked up my 04 Zr2 Blazer in June of 2015. Only had 69K miles on it.

Put the roof rack and push bar I had on my old Jimmy

Removed the push bar and lower valance for better approach angle. Painted the bowtie black.

New Tires. 31x10.5x15 Toyo AT II

Back end was sagging.

Installed a new shackles to fix the sagging rear end.

Sorta custom brush guard with winch mount. Picked up from a guy who said it fit an S10 Blazer but didn't line up correctly. I ended up drill holes in the frame and utilizing some angled steel and the tow-hook slots I was able to mount up the winch and guard. Rugged Ridge 9,500 lb winch.

Custom rock sliders that I had welded to the frame.

Off road lights on brush guard.

As she sits now.

Future plans are to put on some Camaro wheels I just picked up, CB radio, and sway bar disconnect.

Eventually I'd like to do a body lift and put on some 33x10.5x15 MTs. Also, like to install a blu-tooth stereo and some other little features.

Nice looking ZR2. How many miles are you up to now?

Thanks! Just rolled over $130K. It's my DD almost 50 miles every day. I'd like to get a commuter and make it more of a weekend warrior bc then I'd put on some MTs and wheel it a little harder and not worry.

Swapped the stock wheels with some early 80s Camaro wheels painted black.

Looks good! Always wanted to see those wheels on a 4WD.

A buddy of mine had those same wheels (Monte Carlo I thought?) on his '83 2wd S10. I agree with Craig, they do look good on a 4wd.

What do you think of the hood bra? How is that working out for ya?

Thanks! I always preferred that style and I found a set for $100 so I couldn't pass them up.

That style was more common on the Monte Carlo but I looked it up and that style had short run on Camaros from I think 80-81. Luckily the Camaro one's had a little higher backspacing.
I like the bra ok. It's honestly more for looks than function but I'm going back and forth on taking if off. I like the ones that stretch back over the whole hood but they only make those for Jeeps.
