84 cr250r
I have yet another project now! just picked up a 1984 cr250r for $300. It's in pieces, missing some parts, and the engine needs to be rebuilt. I figure I can have it put together and running for around 1500.. hopefully. I'll have to have the cylinder bored, and not sure if it needs a new con rod/rod bearing. Is the rod supposed to have any side to side play?
Anyone have one of these or know much about them? I know it's the first year that they switched from air cooled to liquid cooled and that most of the parts are specific to 1984 models.
Also, whats a good manual to buy? I found a clymer manual on ebay, it's $20 plus shipping. I figure that's worth it if it's basically instructions how to put the thing together.
