Chip Foose would be proud of your creation! Why not paint the red stripes on? Everything else is painted. Now that you know how you want them positioned and angled. I am glad that you are able to continue to make headway even though it is slow going. Keep us posted on your continued progress. I have an 89 Jimmy that is my daily driver and I would love to have a just a quality paint job. I have had it painted twice and both paint jobs were ok but not great.

Chip Foose would be proud of your creation! I have seen a few episodes of overhaulin where Chip creates a design as if it came out of the factory that way. Too bad you do not have the budget or the manpower that overhaulin has. I always liked the way overhaulin takes the cars to bare metal and builds it from the ground up. Why not paint the red stripes on? Everything else is painted. Now that you know how you want them positioned and angled. I am glad that you are able to continue to make headway even though it is slow going. Keep going untill you finally get it done. I loved reading your progress so far.

Did a little test fit today. I like it! We'll see what they look like on the truck next week.

I remember a few days back you mentioned something about this build being more of a hobby driven build than a money driven build. I admire that you take the time to do everything yourself and make sure its done right, than have a shop do it all. Its the only way to have it YOUR way. Its saving you a ton of money and now you have something to say "look what I did". Maybe the J/Y wiring harness wasn't the best idea, but I'm sure when you started it up the first time after, it was well worth it!

Good luck on the rest of the build! Hope it turns out like you imagined when it was first on the trailer!

I would love to have a shop build the truck. That would be AMAZING!!! I don't have much cash, so I have to do it myself if I need it done. I also don't use my familys money (my paycheck), I fund it from selling off old truck parts. Heh another reason it's such a slow proces.
