Here it is sitting on 38s... I plan to have everything done This Sunday finally got caught up on everything, and buying wheels next paycheck what backspacing should I get... I like how these look but my truck will get messy as hell on wet road/offroad. Also have to redo the shackles on the front after removing a leaf its sitting on the frame.

oops. At least its only tacked in. Moving the shackle mount back 2-2 1/2" should fix it right up!

Looking good!

check your full turn left and right as the truck sits now. if you get rims with less offset so the wheels are tucked under more the tires may hit the frame or other parts underneath the truck. my tires stick way out too it sucks, one mud puddle and the side including the windows is completely covered in mud and you cant see anything. thats pretty much why i cut my roof off, i got sick of not being able to see.

also look at the plus side of that. the tires sticking out past the fenders will protect the body from damage, the tires bounce off trees and rocks where as your body will just dent

So i bought my wheels, T-case is all back together with the new output, got my steering box, and a jeep drive shaft with the Hbeam? style u-joint on the side nearest the T-case. The wheels wont work currently they are 9 inches wide, with 7 inches of backspace.... The tire rubs on nothing with these wheels, but the wheel is rubbing on the knuckle where the tierod hooks in. I'm thinking of going high steer 1 for the benefits, and two to make the wheels work I hope.
Is there a good place to buy a high steer setup, I'll probably go to the pick a part and buy me some old Chevy knuckles as far as i know my current axles should work fine with the Chevy spindles. Feel Free to input i need any ideas y'all can give me.

If memory serves the 3/4 ton gm knuckles use the same 6 bolt spindle and outer axle shaft as the waggy. Mid 70s gm usually has a flat top pass side knuckle, but they weren't machined for an arm. Its been too long, I can't remember how the brakes mount on the waggy.

the dodge rams actually used flat top knuckles up until like 91 i think, thats what i used i found a 89 in a junkyard but use those as a last resort they are kinda goofy and different but do work if thats all you can find. brought it to a machine shop and said drill and tap me some holes and away i went

The only problem atm is that my front springs are way way way too soft compaired to the rear... what would be the best way to fix this other than adding leafs because i dont want anymore lift in the front. Thanks everyone for all the input, and help.
