97 parts blazer revive
So I have finally started working on my 97 blazer that I had originally bought to part out to keep the purple jimmy on the road. Picked it up for $300 with a seized engine. Plan was to swap the trans into the jimmy and then solid axle and v8 swap the blazer. But the blazer is in way better shape than my jimmy. I did pull the trans and put it in the jimmy but now its time to start swapping again.

I will say that its much easier to work on one of these that has a body lift! Every thing on this blazer has fought me. Today I pulled the seized engine.

I recommend to anyone that works on their trucks to go buy a set of these they have been a life saver!

Next step is install the body lift the start stripping the jimmys drive train to install into the blazer.

Thanks Don. Yeah its been slow going. I haven't had the motivation to tear into this one and we have moved twice in the last year. The front end on the jimmy is needing rebuilt again so its time to move on to the next phase on it. I had forgotten how nice this blazer was lol.

I don't have real big plans for it yet. The usual body lift, tires and wheels and ill build at least a front bumper for it. Im thinking this will mainly be the wife's toy and winter driver.

My jimmy has a few missing. That will get fixed soon. One more day on the blazer and I should have everything ready to be swapped into it.
