I didn't get much if any forward progress on the blazer over the weekend. I had a feeling all the week before that I had forgotten something important. I pulled it in the shop late Saturday afternoon and was pulling the transfer case back a bit to reseal it to the transmission and then I remembered exactly what I had forgotten. I had stuffed a couple shop rags around the output shaft to keep dirt out of the trans while it was out. So I got those out and resealed and reinstalled the transfer case. I also pulled the spider out of the seized engine to swap it into the other engine.

Hey all I'm still here! Its been a while since I've even been on. I had an accident a month or so ago. I hit a deer on my way to work on my motorcycle. I walked away without any major issues and even rode the bike home the deer didn't fair so well. I have gotten a little work done on the blazer though.

Had to replace the spider.

I got most of the hoses and wires hooked up. I should have it running next weekend.

Sorry to hear about the accident, but glad you're ok. WTF happened in your intake manifold?

Tom I have no idea, this is the worst one I've seen. Engine has 210,000 miles and the upper intake gasket came out in pieces. It has had a random misfire for a while.

Glad your ok! Accidents suck! But the best ones are ones you walk away from!

You can almost make a little man out of all that buildup!

Yea there is alot of build up. I cleaned it up and swapped a bunch of parts from the other engine on to it.
As far as my accident, I saw the doe headed for the road and I slowed down. She turned back into the field and I started accelerating. Next thing I know she jumped on the front of my bike. I tried to get stopped but she was across the handle bars and had the front brake locked. I packed her for about 20 yards before I couldn't hold the bike up and went down. I slid another 10-15 yards. I had full gear other than my chaps. So minor road rash, busted right index knuckle, tore up my right shoulder and my right knee is giving me grief.

The blazer has left the shop and is home! I have to replace the seals on the oil filter lines but it runs!
