Thanks guys lol. Tires are good. I was one straight ice and I'm really just trying to convince the wife she needs a locker, and maybe more lift. Ive got a new set of 35x12.50x15 Cooper stt waiting to go on something. Was going to put them on the purple jimmy but 35s look way to small now.

I like this . In similar situation wondering if the 97 blazer should be parts for a body swap or revive through electrical issues

Update time. The blazer has been the wife's daily since her charger went down last fall. The blazer is quickly approaching 250k miles and is starting to show her age mechanically. Over the last few weeks I've changed the rear driveshaft, I was too lazy to change ujoints lol so I just swapped in the shaft out of my jimmy. Then it got new front brakes. Today I changed the driver's side front diff seal. It wasn't a terrible job to do. I think I have everything taken care of for now. Hopefully I'll get her charger back up and running in the next few weeks so the blazer can take a break.

Don I never get ahead lol. Our 3 main daily drivers all have well over 200k miles on them lol. We live 25 miles from town so they get driven a lot. Found a trans for the blazer though and I think ill try and rebuild the one thats in it just to havea spare.

I realized several years ago that keeping my Blazer on the road was a combination of necessity and hobby. LOL I then realized I was glad that I took some pleasure in keeping mine running as if I did not, I would have had to fork out a lot more money by now to have replaced it with a 4Runner.

I have my old trans from the blazer and the converter on a skid just waiting for me to get the time and motivation for a rebuild. But now having my mom's old jimmy, that has a brand new rebuilt trans, not sure how motivated I'll get lol
