98 Blazer LT Build

Soooo I decided to start a build since i have been making more changes than i thought to the Blazer. It's gonna be a slow build being as that im still in high school and can't work full time. I got my Blazer from my dad with 265,000 miles on it, and he got it from my Aunt with 123,000 miles. It currently sits at 283 and some change and it runs great. I've had it for a year and a half.

So far:
Euro tails
Black front bowtie
2 10" subs powered by a 600 watt amp
Flowmaster 40 classic
White LED interior
30" BFG All Terrains (new 10/3/11)
Mudflaps as of today
Tinted two front windows 35%
4x4 decal for each side of the truck

Pending Installation:
Pro Comp ES3000 shocks all the way around
2 in. shackles

Wish list:
Bull bar w/ lights
ZR2 rims
8000K HID's
Maybe a 2 in. body lift
Get frame painted

Here's an older pic of this Spring, earliest I can find right now

For some Reason Photobucket isn't letting me copy and paste the image, just the URL so i'll have more pics when I have time to figure it all out.

TheRandom1 10-05-2011 08:28 PM

I liked those wheels it came with, truck looks good!

Tangvik1 10-06-2011 12:21 AM

Looks good! X2 on the rims!

98chevyblazer 10-06-2011 10:40 PM

Thanks guys. Are you referring to the stock rims or the chrome ones?

Tangvik1 10-07-2011 12:38 AM

The chrome ones, all though stock rims always looks good on the blazers :)

TheRandom1 10-07-2011 06:30 AM

The chrome ones.

98chevyblazer 10-14-2011 08:05 PM

Thanks guys, I had to take them off being as it's getting colder and I live on a dirt road without a garage so the dirt and dust would make the rims pit pretty quick :icon_rant:so I ended up sellin them. Anyways i have some good news and some BAD news. Bad news: I went out to my car after lunch at school on Thursday and she has been keyed :icon_no: I don't know who did it and I can't even figure out where it was keyed at. I'll throw some pics up of it, I got quoted for over $800 at a local shop to fix, yikes. The good news is that my new shocks and my shackles came in :icon_teeth:, pics of those as well. Not sure what I'm gonna do about the keyage (lol) still have to figure everything out.

good choice in speakers. Those bang pretty good. You live in Michigan, how the *BEEP* did you keep your truck rust free without a garage?

Whats that cylinder beside your amp? Power inverter?

It's a capacitor.

gatorboy44 10-15-2011 05:03 PM

It's amazing people are so scared of someone that they have to do something to a vehicle instead of confronting them, they need to grow some. If that keyage isnt down to the sheet metal you can probably buff some of it out.

Unfortunately most of it is....I might have to drive with it for a few weeks till I can get an affordable price to have it fixed. Ill try to get some more close up pics tmrw of it.

Yea its a capacitor it's supposed to help with the alternator and with the lights dimming when the bass hits, so far so good. :icon_shrug:

Well it did have some rust along the bottom but luckily i caught it before it got too bad and had it repainted, we'll see how long it lasts. I'm thinking about just putting bedliner there now. It got worse bcuz of the fact that rocks from the dirt road would hit it all the time so I put mudflaps to help it out but if i do the bedliner I'd probly take them right back off, not sure yet.

98chevyblazer 10-29-2011 07:35 PM

Small update! lol

I had a new windshield put in this morning, and I have a windshield sticker that I've been waiting to put on, pics once i put that on tomorrow. Also got some halo's thanks to NVANZEE that i'll be installing this week, and I'll possibly be putting on my shocks/shackles this week too if my buddy is free to help me

98chevyblazer 04-13-2012 07:35 PM

Well its been awhile since i updated but i did get the shackles and torsion crank done about a week ago. the bolts were rusted in the shackle so i took it to a local shop and they did the whole thing with an alignment for 193 bucks so im happy. pics will be coming tomorrow when its light out, along with a couple questions i have.

jbw23 04-13-2012 09:10 PM

I can wait to see the pics, I wanna do a shackle and torsion to mine!

Also have tinted my turn signals, here's a pic of when i was in the middle of it. I love how they look now.

http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/...wzgr21/044.jpg

Also, do you guys think i should just bedline the part under the trim on both sides or take the trim off and go over that and the wheel wells too? The paint is starting to chip on the rockers from the dirt road.

xgiovannix12 04-15-2012 05:52 PM

xgiovannix12 04-16-2012 08:52 PM

Looks good man. I haven't decided what im gonna do with mine yet. Either sell it and get a zr2 or throw a body lift on there....hmm.....

trobbins 09-21-2012 04:54 PM

I like it, might as well jstput a 2" on it since got all the money an parts in this one already, but your decision, but bump for the nice ride

420Blazin4X4 09-21-2012 05:05 PM

get the body lift...4 doors are better than 2...If you end up hauling around friends..after awhile tilting your seat forward all the time gets to be a pain in the neck...
