Baby Semi Build

Hey guys i finally decided to make a build thread for my rig

My uncle was the 1st owner of this truck. He bought it out of the chevy showroom and now he gave it to me . Its a great truck and it don't need much but little by little i have every thing done.

any ways its an 1992 s10 blazer with 136k miles on it
shes has a strong engine and the trans shifts strong.

Things i got done to her

Fuel spider injection
Fuel pump
New cat from y pipe to the rear exhaust pipe
Major tune up Plugs cap rotor wires filters and much more.
lighted visor and custom lights on bumper
trailer hitch
brakes/calipers/rotors drums

Things that needs to be done

Starter
Pitman arm
pas window motor
transmission oil seal
some rust work
tbar crank and 2 inch shackles
30 or 31 inch tires all terrain or mud tires
front abs sensor
4x4 needs the cable for the vacuum acc
and much more later on

All pictures can be seen in my garage :icon_razz:

might have a day off tomorrow . If i do so im going to do my lift and then put my new 31 inch all terrains on =)

wish me luck ill update tomorrow night

kevlar974 08-05-2011 10:16 PM

Looks good with the 31"s
Now where are you going to put the smoke stacks?
Maybe a set of side pipes like the old corvettes.

xgiovannix12 08-05-2011 10:59 PM

haha id so put some stacks any ways thats a good idea 2 side pipes

racer1044 08-06-2011 10:33 AM

I think side pipes would be cooler than stacks. Stacks only look good with black smoke rolling out of them. Wish I still had my first gen. I always wanted one of those front window visors. Looks real good.

TheRandom1 08-06-2011 10:36 AM

I dunno about side pipes. I think I'd probably like them better if you lowered it and made it an AWD street rod type of car. Could be cool though.

xgiovannix12 08-19-2011 10:10 PM

Thanks I finally got my fender flares to stop rubbing =P they needed to be grinded a little more

gotta love a dremel always handy to have one

it only rubbed when i did sharp turns and hitting a bump at the same time

tsLongarms 08-20-2011 02:30 AM

Definitely a sharp truck. Love the height. Among the best looking 1st gens in my book.

Rottidog 08-20-2011 09:52 PM

Looks like you wired them just into a switch in the cab. I like the ones from Bully Dog I think that have a 3 way switch - either manual on or off or on with the reverse lights.
Still look good, what wattage are they?

i got a relay on them there the ones you put on heavy equipment but there 12 volts ill check tomorrow for wattage

there way brighter in person then on the picture

i think the picture came out bad ill try to take a better one facing a wall or something

I mean its enough for what i need them for

if someones in a ditch or stuck

or when i hook up my trailer
and some other stuff

kevlar974 09-07-2011 10:02 PM

just incase you are still thinking about adding a set of side pipes.
found these while stumbling through E-bay not really looking for anything specific.

Its your baby but I'd put a hood ornament on your rig.
you probably have better things to spend your money on.

chris015 09-28-2011 08:56 PM

john you need the front acutator cable thingy? I have mine that i dont need since i ripped out the 4x4. NOT sure if it works at all since my 4x4 didnt work to begin it. well it would go in 4x4,but was a pain to get it back out into 2wd. If you wanna pay shipping its yours.

xgiovannix12 09-28-2011 11:20 PM

small update

i added some rear id lights under the tire I like how they came out =)
http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/...2/PICT1254.jpg

Now to fix my problem when it rains and my 4x4 before it snows. I wish money grew on trees =(

Mike98Blazer 10-04-2011 09:55 PM

^^^ Very smexy

I wish money grew on trees too.....

What's the 4x4 problem and rain problem?

xgiovannix12 10-04-2011 10:03 PM

need to replace the cable to the front axle

and when it rains the truck sorta makes a tapping noise coming from the tailpipe and the motor wont go over 2000 rpms

I do have delco ignition products accept the icm and the wires
i think the icm is messing with the timing when wet

whats weird is that when the engine warms up it gos back to normal also if i pull over and shut the truck off then start it it stops then starts again till warm or driven a few miles

ALSO my intake rubber has a crack underneath it and i think its taking in moister so that might be it also

chris015 10-04-2011 10:10 PM

intake rubber? you mean the line that runs from your air filter box to the throttle body?

I bet its that icm. Or could be moisture is getting in the dis cap. Test it! wait till a rainy day and pop open the cap and wipe it with a rag. See if it runs fine.

xgiovannix12 10-04-2011 10:13 PM

yea the one that goes from the plastic into the intake on a vortec

and the caps snug i dont see how moister can go in but yea ill try it also whats the round thing that plugs into the icm ? can that be it also ?

chris015 10-04-2011 10:14 PM

yea that wouldnt cause any issues. Try running some seafoam, that stuff does wonders. and fix my ball joints.

xgiovannix12 10-04-2011 10:16 PM

oh nice you replaced all 4 ? i bet the truck rides great now

and yes i did seafoamed it truck runs great after runs great every day all day just the morning when you 1st start it after a rainy day or night

chris015 10-04-2011 10:20 PM

lol no i was saying for you to replace my ball joints. I havent touched em. Im hoping its the hub. Free fix then.

xgiovannix12 10-04-2011 10:23 PM

oh i missread lol see what my truck dose to me .... yea would be nice if it was the hub

xgiovannix12 10-14-2011 12:57 PM

small update

I did an oil change replaced my intake rubber hose and installed a switch for my rear work lights

hopefully i can start on modding it again after i fix most of the stuff wrong with it

Edit: It stopped raining and i started to fix my 4wd and then it rained again. Im all soaked but my 4wd is working again so its worth it tho haha

Edit2: kinda sank before i got the camera aw well haha http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/...2/PICT1263.jpg

xgiovannix12 10-24-2011 04:04 PM

Good to see my Blazer isn't the only one that prefers to plow over piles instead of drive over them
