Your truck is coming along. I really like the blue paint you have on your Blazer.

thanks! yeah i haven't seen many in that color, but she could use some fresh paint. the many pricker and tree limbs that have scratched paint are kinda beyond scratch filler

like i said before, i knew the passenger side shackle lift would be a breeze as it had been replaced last year to pass inspection. well it was. took about 30 minutes total for that side. got it all buttoned up and good to go.

moved onto the drivers side and holy hell this sucks! spent almost 4 hours banging, torching, banging some more, cutting. finally got it out. I ended up having to use a ball point removal tool (pickle fork my dad calls it) and a piece of pipe for a cheater bar to get some leverage and melted alot of the bushing and drilled it out. got it out and moved onto the top and i just said screw it. just got in not to long ago after starting around 3. got it sitting in the garage up on jack stands with half of the lift on. so now i am left without a vehicle to go to school tomorrow so i have to use my moms trailblazer

I really could use some suggestions as to getting to the top bolt. the collector box/charcoal thing is on the right side and gas tank cover on the left(if you were laying underneath) and leaves you VERY little room to do anything.

oh and does anybody know the torque specs i should run the bolts to? i put em at 95 lbs but i am just curious. here is some pics as well. and where to get new bushings, and what grade bolts do you recommend??

Turns out I had it made on the drivers side top bushing. Just took the back plastic corner off and the little charcoal canister or whatever it is and got the nut off easily. Then used a torque wrench and set it to 140lbs and just kept turning and turning it and it finally went. Then got a ball joint puller and got between the shackle and frame with a cheater bar and pulled as he tapped with a hammer and she slid right through. No torching bushing or anything! Made a bushing press out of 1/2" all thread, a 2" pipe cap, 4 nuts and a couple fender washers. Put a little motor oil in the eyelet and she slid right it. Overall it really wasn't too bad. I also like the fact that I'm doing it all myself and not paying someone

Ill get pics up in a bit. Also getting stainless exhaust done Wednesday at 10am!

Got duals put on this morning. My dad has been going to this place for years to get his trucks done. SUPER fast service and really great prices. Got there right at 10 when i was scheduled to be there and was done by 11:30. Didnt get em run exactly how i wanted them but it was going to be a pain and would have to run em inside the leaf pack. Got everything on in 2.5" full stainless with 3" used magnaflow tips for exactly $400. IMO thats a pretty decent deal considering i got quotes from other places for upwards of $600 closer to $700.

Got a nice rumble when starting up and sounds nice and smooth and throaty on take off. Not at all like a riced out Honda with a fart can. I love em. Next time i wash my truck i will take some polish and those tips will shine right up.

got a new thermo installed as well as core flush. runs nice warm air now and engine is running much warmer. was hoppin around from 140-160 now its like 180-190. I got a Duralast 195* from Autozone with a warranty for $8.56. Inspection is next up. Hopefully everything is good to go, but i think the passenger side quarter panel has a nickel size rust hole on the inside so i might have to address that here soon.

I put it under the drop down cig lighter in the little compartment in front of the cup holders. I lose the little compartment to put my phone into, but its a big CB so it was where i was limited to.
