Default Broke Blazer

So to start, I bought my 1996 LT as my first vehicle a couple of months after I got my license roughly 4 years ago. This is not a picture of when I first bought it, but it does show the way it looked for 4 years. It has the z85 suspension package, G80 locker, and 373 gears.

So for 3 years it was completely stock, with absolutely no modifications, finally the bug bit me, I installed a spectre CAI and Flowmaster 40 series muffler, both of which I will get pictures of tomorrow when it stops raining.

Added some cheap "offroad" lights from Autozone

Finally decided to replace my factory original shocks a couple months back with the help of my personal mechanic, and father

Monroe sensatrac coilover shocks in the rear, and Bilstein Heavy duty factory z85 replacements for the front.

Took it out for the first time for some light wheeling/mudding with a couple friends and decided it needed more height and taller tires. I finally convinced my father to buy me a Performance Accessories 2" body lift for Christmas.

Small picture that water ended up coming to just over the door trim when i caught a large rut.

So finally in June I got my father to agree to help install the body lift.
Before

and after.

Future plans to replace the 235 75 15's with 31's that my father is giving me from his suburban. This week I will be tackling the rust on the rockers doors, and rear bumper. I will also be reinstalling my lights. If I can find one cheap enough I would like to install a rear tire carrier to get the spare off the roof.

Thank you. No all pictures so far have 235 75 15's. I hope that soon I will be able to mount up my 31's

How do you like the shock setup? I've been looking/researching for some replacements for mine cause I still have factory shock nonabsorbers on mine yet

Rex, the shocks are nice, the coilovers actually brought the rear end up about an inch and a half, and the fronts made quite a bit of difference in stiffening things up. However I have not driven offroad yet with the shocks at all.

Craig, depending on how well the 31's fit with just the body lift I might do a torsion lift and shackle lift, bed line from body line down, maybe try for the rear tire carrier, and posi lock system like rex's. I don't offroad a lot so nothing over the top I kind of want to have a 4 door zr2 kind of look

I promise a tire carrier will look amazing on your truck. If I still had mine, I was going to do that too.

thanks SLC. Craig I would love to throw a carrier on it but I haven't found one at a good enough price yet and I don't know if I really want to drill into the body.

But with some updates, the body work went really poorly. The passenger rocker was just horrible, and is way above my skill level so I'm going to do what i can to get it smooth and bedlined.

Rocker after I stripped it all down. All of the "surface" rust proved to be far more when I kept burning threw with every tack that I attempted. Also this is about the time that I ran the flap disk on my angle grinder over my finger on accident.

Picture off my Flowmaster 40 series exhaust set up

And my towhooks that I stripped and painted yesterday
