Default A build?..Or rebuild?

I got this 96 Jimmy slt from my grandparents for christmas last year. They pretty much let it sit for about 2 years. It had 73k when I got it and it's at 74k now. Here's what I've done so far...

New tires (General Grabber AT2's / 235/75/15)
New Stereo (Pioneer)
New Idler, Pitman, ball joints, Tie rods (Power Performance)
Trans filter and gasket
Fixed hole in trans coolant line
Bed linered frame
Ac Delco spark plugs
Painted interior blue
Blue LED dome light
Coolant flush and convert to Green
Oil and filter change
PCV valve
Cleaned MAF
Replaced thermostat
New Battery
Seafoam in gas tank
New front brakes/caliper pins
Gatorback serpentine belt

I probably forgot some, but I'll add as I go... And here's some pics!

My co-pilot

Best hockey team in the history of hockey.

Nice truck, nice copilot (respectful of course) and totally wrong on the plate. Colors aren't bad, but Chicago is a much better team than Detroit now. (I'll still give you that Detroit was the best in history... but that history is past now) :-)

I'll admit Chicago has talent, but not a much better team than Detroit...Although Vancouver would have whooped either team in the conference finals.

Thanks for the kind words guys (even from the hawks fan) jk
I've still got more plans for it in the future, but most of what I've done was to get/keep it running well. It's a regular street ride 8 months of the year, but I (obviously) take it fishing and hunting during the open seasons. I like the off road capabilities when needed and large cargo area for guns, clothes, and tackle. It really is the perfect truck for me.

Any opinions on whether a smooth bedliner under the jimmy logo on the sides and rear bumper would look good or not? There's a few new scratches and chips from the more aggressive tires that I'd like to cover up.

Thanks for checkin 'er out!

Default some more stuff

Bed liner and the process

Before

During

After

You cant really tell I did it (which I kind of like) But in person it definitely looks more mean.

Then my recent intake manifold project

Plenum gone

Lower intake out (paper towels to catch falling crud)

While I was in there...New plug wires, dizzy cap, rotor, and not pictured, thermostat gasket.

The rest of the gasket that was left. I could see why it leaked...

The bottom of the pic was closest to the fire wall. Some of the coolant passageways were blocked off up to 85%.

The gasket kit I bought also had valve covers, throttle, injector unit, etc included.

I ended up spending around 450 on parts for the gasket project. Also put in prestone coolant after flushing it out and I'm currently running cheap mobil oil and stp filter for a while just in case any coolant got in there.

Another mod was I made my own CAI using a spectre filter and some pipe. Still needs a heat shield though. All in all, she's coming along nicely with only a few set backs. In the future I plan on adding a decent sound system and possibly a brush guard if I find a decent deal. It's not really high on my list. Thanks for lookin!

I also blacked out my tail lights. No pics yet.
