Upgrading your alt to the ad244 like jam suggested will make a big difference in voltage stability as well as winch performance. I get about a 1-2 volt drop with a yellow top and alt upgrade and that was on a long 60 deg river bank uphill pull with zero help from the truck.

The big 3 wiring upgrade might help out a bit too.

Looks really good, I'm thinking about doing that lift, any recommendations or anything to look out for?

For trimming, this is the method we did on blaz's blazer, seemed to work out pretty well.

Thanks. I think I'll do the alt upgrade. I was looking for a yellow top, but settled for the red. For some reason that's all napa and advance auto had in stock. I think it'll be fine once I do the ad244.

I work a ton, so I haven't taken it out on any really technical trails. Just some local small stuff. Right off, it'll rub your front bumper on the plastic. Easy fix, just trim it. Right now with the bumper and winch that I have, it weighed it down a little bit in the front. Now the rear of the front wheel well rubs just a little bit on the corner. I got it to flex as far as I could in a ditch and I couldn't get the back to rub. My steel rear bumper with tire carrier may level it back out. If not, I may be doing a t-bar crank just to get it level.

OK. I saw that somewhere, but wasn't sure. I got to looking, and I thought there was some stuff I might not want to cut in the area between the front door and front tire (the only spot that I actually need to cut). If this worked fine for you I may just jump into it and hope I don't screw it up!

Yeah, I just dug up some heavy gauge wire from a sound system I had and I was planning on doing exactly that once I get some leads for it.
