Default First of many

I just completed my first of many projects to my truck. I was walking around my local AutoZone today, when I had an idea. I found this bed liner in a spray can for $9, and decided it was time to get my tow hooks taken care of. There was a little bit of surface rust, and it needed to be nipped in the butt.

Here is what I used:
http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=367

Worked pretty good. I did 3 coats. I'm not sure how well it'll stack up to the elements, but I will find out soon enough I guess.

Here are the before pics:

As you can see, there isn't a lot of rust, but there is some surface rust, and it just makes it unsightly.

Here it is after I took the Dremel to it:

Shines up nicely, doesn't it? I only did part of it, because the little bit didn't look bad at all.

Here is the final product:

On the truck:

It didn't make the truck look absolutely amazing after the paint, but it makes it look cleaner. No more unsightly rust color in with all that blue. What do you think?

Sorry. I have a high resolution monitor, so I don't know how big the pics would look on a smaller resolution. I think if I were to post them on the page, the pictures would take up the entire screen of a lower res monitor.

I guess I could have done it this way:

I have the Sony Cybershot W220 at 12.1 mp. I resize to make sure I don't get bothered by it.

Well, I do have some things that need to be tackled. The trim around the rear windows are looking pretty rough. The roof rack needs to be re-painted (will most likely use the bed liner spray). Lastly, the grill is starting to fade from the 10 years of road abuse.

I mostly want to get some of the mechanical items taken care of that are on my list. Exhaust is one of the big things I want to do soon. I've been trying to find some performance headers for less than $400, but it's a tough find. Then I want to get into a nice exhaust, like a Borla or a Flowmaster. Get a nice little rumble coming from it.

if you look around there are a few how to's on the window trim, and as for the exhaust i know what you mean about wanting a nice rumble, these engines will give it to you as long as you have a nice exhaust.

Any recommendations as for where I can look to find better headers for not too expensive?

By the way, if you get one of those spray on bed liners, make sure you don't spray into the wind. I have that crap on my hands and it won't come off!
