Project snorkkel was started today:



This will be the upper part:





Not sure how height it`ll be...

The upper part will be like in the picture, the lower will be a flexible hose with a fibreglas cover...

how do you plan on mounting it by the windshield? I've been wanting to build one I just don't want it to look like crap...

And I`m sure you won`t be able to see from what it was made when I`m done...

I stopped being nervous about cutting holes in my car with my first car when I cut away half of the radiator support and fender to fit a big intercooler and oil cooler. So no, I`m not...

The snorkel will be completely finished before I cut a hole, so I can make sure I like it...

First I covered the car with foil and put everything where it`s supposed to be:





Then I covered it with PU foam:





When the foam has dried I`ll cut the rought form out of it and put fibreglas on...

Next update this afternoon...

This damn foam didn`t dry yesterday because it was so cold. So I let the car outside this night and this morning it was dried.

This is how it looked like:





Cut and sanded in form:

First layer finished:
