You overseas guys won't get this, and you youngsters probably won't either, but this truck makes me think it would something Marlin Perkins would ride in while trying to catch a wildebeest or something

Hmm, I`d say around 12hours so far.

But it looks like I`ve lost my key and remote. I have a spare key, but no remote. So it`s freaking complicated to get the car started. Any way to remove the security?

The snorkel is almost finished. Don`t look at the paint, it`ll be bedlinered when it`s getting warmer...

Not sure if i like it, though...

that looks great, but I think I know what you don't like about it. I think you should fiberglass the upper pipe so it looks like its sitting on your truck the whole way up. I really like the fiberglass idea almost looks like a safari snorkel for a jeep or land rover.

I think the security system is behind your glove box and should say security on it, then you should just be able to remove the harness and it won't work anymore, but I'm not 100% about that.

also did you hook the pipe up to your airbox or did you remove the airbox?

Hi,
the snorkel is not mounted up yet, my buddy is just holding it in place for the pics. I`ll bolt the fiberglas part on the fender, the upper part to the roof rack. It`ll connect to the stock airbox. This is important, to keep it road legal...

I`ll try that with the security tomorrow. Is there a extra security module? Because I know there`s a keyless module right near the parking brake. It sucks to enter a 5 digit code via the rear fog switch in order to start the car...

Today I got it finished (for now...):

The right weather for working outside. It did start snowing btw...

First I removed the tube from the fiberglas part, because I wanted only one flexible tube and no connector:

Then I removed the airbox with my old snorkel alike thing:

I put a plate on that hole and put a new connector on:

Then I started cutting:

The finished hole:

Connected to the airbox:

Finished:

It`ll be bedlinered when it`s warmer...

The truck sounds great with the snorkel on, better than a open intake...

Now I just have to find a place for my washer bottle. Any suggestions?
