First I installed the diff cover:

Then i picked up some steel. Yes, it`s maybe a little beefy, but come on, it sure won`t break...

One side mockup:

Put a little angle in the bumper:

Fits nice:

Both sides mocked up:

Swingout mockup:

This is how I looked when I called it a day...

The mad scientist at work!

It's looking beastly man, I always look forward to your build posts. The new bumper makes the exhaust look like it's hanging down a mile lol.

Your truck is awesome. I wish I had half the handyman skills you do!

It will be rerouted, not sure where, though...

Didn`t get much done today, because we had a party yesterday and I went to bed at about 0530am...

It started raining, so I put a tarp over the car:

Then I put the mounting plates on and started welding. Now I ran out of welding sticks, will buy some tomorrow:

Does anyone know how much diff oil I need?

The bumper primered:

I just had to put his sticker on:

The bumper mounted:

The locking pin:

With the swingout:

I`ll have to relocate the fuel pump unit now and cut down the flares and quarter panels. The license plate, two rescue points and a aux light will be mounted on the frame crossmember...

lol that tire looks outa place, you should run a straight pipe out of the back, that would probably work best

That damn tire is outa place!

Straight pipe is a good idea, I`ll have a look tomorrow. Or maybe put a 90 degree in and let it go to the right...

Project rear bumper is finished...

First I relocated the charcoal canister:

Then I added a license plate holder and lighting, the tow hooks and my backup light. Finished:
