Well that sucks, Where I live emission testing hasent even caught on yet. You can pretty much do any thing you want as long as you dont get nabbed my a cop you are in the clear.

I`m not exactly sure how I`ll mount it, but I`ll try to keep the basket. That`s because I want to store the spare tire, some fuel, a shovel, etc. on the roof.
Suggestions are welcome...

Started with my roof rack today:









In front of the tent will be a basket with a fuel canister and the spare tire...

I think we're in awe of your progress and craftsmanship. You also have a very quick pace. What are the ratings on the winch?

Probobly 13,000 lbs, and Steinbruchsoldat I hate you for having a winch before me

Very nice!... Now you are giving me ideas for my next roof rack project.
Also, wider/more offset wheels will help to noticeably stabilize a top loaded vehicle when rounding corners.
The winch will pay for itself the first time you need it!
