Default Home Sweet Home Build

Fyi, my truck reminds me of where i grew up in texas hehe hence the build name

I should have probably started this when i first joined but im late to everything!

So here it goes.

She started out a humble stock blazer with 40k miles.

I didnt really do much to my blazer until i moved to denver.

The only thing i did do was install the stereo.

Pioneer deck

amp

Memphis audio 12 inch sub

shes been blasting hard for 6 years now.

Next thing i did was the exhaust

cherry bomb! dumped at the rear axle.

Next i painted my wheels flat black, sanded, cleaned, 3 coats of primer, 3 coats of flat black, 3 flat clear.

Then i painted the hood! the same process as the wheels.

i actually just repainted it again with better black primer and learned how
to not hold the can 2 inches away from the hood so there are 0 streaks.

mmm streaks.. looks perfect now tho.

I kind of miss the red hood..

Then i smoked the tails and parking lights, and painted the bowtie.

I have smoked euro tails now. i couldn't get inspection with the smoked tails when i visited taxes.

lucky for me co doesn't have inspections but i like the euros better.

The lighting in this pic hides the darkness for some reason.

They are alot darker than this.

Iv just recently thrown the spare on the roof and got some window shades.
i forget the actual term for them.

So thats where i am as of now, hoping to get a bull bar soon.

Also thinking about some hub centric spacers and a shackle and key lift.

Thanks for checking out my ride!

Love The Strokes logo Do you still have it registered in TX? You can get red or black license plates now which look pretty good. I can't decide which color but when I renew my registration, I plan on changing from white.

Why did you paint your hood?

Red does look much better than the black did, but I still kind of liked the black one too.

looks good. The flat black hood gave it a POP of sorts though. The red just makes it match up and look plain jane until you get the bull bar.

Yeah the black wouldnt of been so bad if i had the time and money to paint it right.

The sun and heat ruins it quickly and it looks like crap when it gets dirty.

The red just brings it all together imo.
