I can't wait for it to be finished either. Party because I'm excited to see it done, and partly because I just want it done already lol.


It's not exactly light, no... but still perfectly manageable.

 

Brought the bumper to Paul's to borrow his welder. We got the backside of the bumper all welded up, still need to the front, the light buckets, some braces and make up and weld some shackle mounts.
Here's a few pics of my welds. It's my first time using MIG, so go easy on me :P

Much better weld on #157 was it? Though it looks like you straightened up the angle a bit at the end of it. ;-)

 

Hey! Long time no talk. it was 035 wire, yes. Don't know what the gas was, whatever is normal I guess lol


Been slowly working on the wheels for the SAS swap. Little bit here and there whenever I have a few minutes. I have 1 out of 6 that I've cleaned up, and painted. Still needs to be cleared.


I'm not 100% convinced if I like the pattern yet. I think I need to mount a tire and hold it up to see how it looks before I do the rest of the wheels.

 

For sure set it up and see how it looks. Take a pic of that 1 rim/tire and imagine. Looks like a nice rim to me, just a little too 'blingly' for my tastes. The silver seems to pop too much.

 

I like the way you painted the wheel. It looks good IMO.

 

Got some more welding done on the bumper last night. Welding is 98% done, the front is completely welded and the bracing is all in place. Only things left are tow points and light buckets.
