1/8th will dent in you are using it to push cars. I would either weld some more 1/8th over the front area that makes the contact or use 3/16th min, 1/4 might be better. Yes I speak from experience cause I'm rebuilding mine. The front is all dented up from just barely bumping into trees and pushing a few jeeps around.

Over all it looks great tho so don't think I'm just putting ya down. I learned the hard way so maybe you won't have to.

Thanks for the advice on plates before i paint it and put it on for good. I have lots of gussets behind it but i will make it work. I used 1/8 cause i did not think i could bend anything thicker than that I really wanted to make it round not square in the corners.

I have about 40 dollars in grinder wheels and cutting wheels (All i used was a four inch grinder). 50 Dollars in Steel and Probly 20 in wire and Argon/co2. Bout 120 total with little extras.

I dont know what i would charge to send you one I took a long time using just cutting wheels. Shipping would be crazy. But a good guess would be 400 total.

Thank you to all for you complaments. Jake

Guess a better option would be to weld extra plates in from the back then. If you have if gusseted pretty good and don't just ram stuff you will prolly be fine. I'm not real easy on my stuff so I tend to over build it.

FYI 99% of the aftermarket bumpers you see are built using 3/16th or 1/4 inch. There are some made out of 1/8th plate but I've never seen really good reviews. I'm actually wanting to try to get a TIG and try to build my next set out of 1/4 inch aluminum and see how those hold up.
