Sounds like you have a plan! I will mention that they don't make a 3" BL for the second gens only the first. The first gen can be made to work with a second gen but then you will have to fab up your own bumper brackets and possibly a few other small things. Just go with a 2" and you will be happy. And do some searching there are more than a few threads related to the 4x4 issues with these things. Keep us updated!!

Mines a 98 also and pretty much want do the same stuff as you. I already have the cold air intake safari rack debadged and 4offroad lights on the rack. I also replaced the stock fan with an electric one with an adjustable thermostats. Adds a few more horsepower. Ill put up pictures when I get home from work

Thanks. I didnt know about that. Two inches is still plenty.
Newguy, was installing the efan hard? What one did you get? |

Got new rubber! Decided to go for the Cooper Definity Dakota M/T 30x9.5x15. I read good reviews and the price was unbeatable ($135ea). Will test them out tomorrow! Here is a pic from earlier today before new tires:

Just a quick note to endorse the duplicolor rim paint. I used it on a set of severely oxidized American Racing rims my son got for his Cherokee. I rubbed the rims out with scotch bright pads, shot them with self etching primer and then black in thin coats. They came out great.

Not sure sure what brand, a friend had several in his garage so I took the one with 5 blades thinking it would move more air. Bought a cheap adjustable thermostat from advanced auto and wired direct to the battery. Put an inline fuse also. Wiring direct to the battery will allow it to run after there truck is shut off. Which doesn`t bother me any and will cool it down faster. Never runs more than a minute at most. Definatly notice a difference driving, not a lot but there is a diffrence
