NEEDED: Plans or blueprints for custom front bumper
 

I am not sure if this is the correct area for posting this. If not I am sorry.

I am in need of plans or blueprints that someone may have for a custom made front bumper for my 1998 Chevy blazer.

I am looking to build a custom steel front bumper for mine. The one that I am looking at build will be simular to those that are used on the front ends of the US and Canadian arm chevy trucks.

OR

I am looking for plans for one that is flate at the front and then is angled off at the sides. Front there i want to made wench mount, off road light mounts and full bush gard and folding hood gard as well.

My truck is used for every day for on and off road use... however the wife desided to go out one day and was hit by another car that was driving down the wrong side of the road and cut a corrner and took the front end off my truck!!!!

Any how if any one has plans or blueprints for bumpers can you either post them here with a link or email them to me that would be grate. my email address is jasonsawyer442@yahoo.ca

You can do what i did, i just started measuring up the truck, and then looked at my mounting options, then started drawing and fabing. I plan it to look like a cross between

If you are interseted i can get you my plans when its all said, done, and tested. I am building mine for a 2000 2dr 4x4, so you may have to mod it to fit your frame depending on how the frame differs between the years and the 4 door version.

i like to make things so i dont have to spend a lot of$$$ if you know what i mean. i want to make one for my 1994 chevy k1500.

That would look sweet on a blazer.

How did your bumper come out? I woudl be interested in the plans if you still had them? If it came out close to that pic, thats sweet!

Now that's a bumper! I've got CAD skills and a 2000 2DR to take measurements from. Anyone got a waterjet cutter or a welder that's big enough for the job?

There is a guy here in Ottawa that made his own steel winch bumper. He told me to swing by, and take measurements for mine. Maybe ill have to do that one day im not working a 12 hour shift.

i have a whole fab shop at my disposal to make a bumper so if you can make a CAD design for a bumper and print it off with full measurements i would be in love to make some i have everything i need to make it and all the time in the world plus it will give me grade's for school since im going to school for welding xD

i'd love to see your build too if you get to it.. i'm really wanting to do this too

that bumper would be pretty easy to make. I have always loved how this blazer looks though. Didnt he get ride of the year either on here or s10forum.com....I almost got the 34" tires he has because of him...

I would buy that bumper in a heart beat if it was sold. Someone can make some serious dough around here if they have the right welding skills.

lol I doubt it all the beatings that blazer takes. it still bothers me I didn't get that tropper bumper I wanted... guy sold it a day before I went to look at it. I looked up similar ones they are like $800-$1000 I would got a steel on that thing. even if it wouldn't have fit I coulda sold it for more

see the ones i make would cost around 500 plus shipping which it only ways like 75 - 100 pounds i havent weighed it but i installed it on my truck today looks freakin great :P

So if I welded one up like georges u would buy it huh? What gauge sheet would u want it made out of? That makes a huge difference in cost but makes a huge difference in stability and weight as well. Would u want the lights installed as well or just the cut outs for them? I can try and price it out if u want. PM me and we can B.S about it. Im actually thinking about making one like georges for my truck, I really like how they look and want something a little more beefier than the one I made for mine. I know if I had people interested in the bumpers, I would be more inclined to get off my ass and build one for my truck....LOL

Very Nice!!! I like how it's a very simple design. I'm thinking of building something like it, but not quite so heavy looking. I also plan on building a hitch receiver into it so I can put on a winch. I have a hitch receiver on the back, so I could switch it if need be.

If you build on like georges hell let me know a cost I would be interested...I would like one like his with maybe a lightbar/push bar incorporated into it..

Happen to still have the prints? I have access to a plasma and waterjet, or anyway you can draw me up some- gladly pay for your time
