Lightbulb New bumper ID

Hello folks,
Well starting to come up with some ideas for the new bumper. This would be my first time building a bumper, so not sure how to start. The metal I am thinking is going to 1/4 in. plate, but not sure if that is going to be to heavy. So if anyone has some info that would help I would appreciatte it.

Thanks

I wouldn't do 1/4" way to heavy on the front end. Go with 3/16" . I'd only go 1/4 if your doing a winch mount.
