k heres some more pictures, i know the wiring could be cleaned up a bit but im leaving on a ski trip tonight so i just wanted them to be hooked up lol. check out the back of the lights, some things are just ment to be haha

actually i did this with a little millermatic autoset 180. makees for a much quicker and cleaner weld then using arc. heres one more pic i gotta show you guys, some things are just ment to be :P

 

Haha, gotta love the Blazer on the lights. I never learned how to MIG weld either. I can gas weld like a ****, though. The tubing is probably too thick for that.

i sure hope you finish cleaning up the wiring soon, that bare ground you did sure isn't gonna like the salt & snow.


MIG has to be the easiest type of welding out there, super easy to do. you can do your gas welding on it too, just takes a little longer to heat up the steel.

 

How did you run the wiring? Through the doorsill and over to the console or did you go through the roof with the wires above the headliner?

 

yeah, i gotta fix up the ground. it was just too cold out the day i mounted everything haha, it will work for now. and yes, i drilled a hole through the "foot" of the original roof rack and a hole into the actual roof of the blazer and ran my wires from the fuse box up the piller that runs along the edge of the windshild then above the headliner to the switches and then out the hole in the roof, put a grommet around the wires going through the roof so they dont get cut and then just siliconed around where it comes outta the rack.
