Default Project 89

Well picked up this 89 blazer 4.3 auto the other day , decent shape good price. so far I've replaced the upper and lower door hing bushings and pins, fixed a major vac leak, swapped the tires and fender flares over from the 86 I bought and ditched the crappy looking 80's tube grill and fog lights.
Before

After..

More work later on.

Yea the drivers door one came off pretty easy. gotta wait for it to warm up a bit to get the passenger one off.

Pretty good shape, a bit of a buff and that paint'll look even better. That grille looks much better too, I've never been a fan of those tube grilles, especially when they're dented lol.

well up til now I've just been getting the blazer back in shape to pass inspection, part of that was the exhaust,So instead of installing some crappy *** replacement crimped up tubing and a stock restrictive muffler, for about the same price I picked up a Dynomax super turbo cat back from summit racing. Has a full 2 1/4 mandrel bent tail pipe with a stainless tip and a nice super turbo muffler you reuse your stock pre muffler pipe if its in good shape, Mine was.

Also installed a new radiator, and heater core, rad has a crack under the top inlet and was leaking pretty bad and the heater core was junk also , filling the passenger floor with coolant.
