Infidel Edition is on a distinguished road
Default Project: Infidel

I don't know why, but I like the idea of creating my own "Infidel Edition K5"

Here's the plan as I stand today. I bought a pair and a half of 71 K5's.
1 has a nice suspension (stock but 0 rust issues)
... and nice glass.
1 has a great tub and dual walled top.

Since the guy wouldn't just sell the parts I wanted, I ended up with 3 full sets of doors, fenders, hoods, suspensions, ... a lot of goodies!

I'm going to mix and match to get a solid foundation of a beast and then go bed liner from firewall to tail gate (inside and underside).

Although both have 350's with trans and etc. I'm going to put a '95 police interceptor edition 350 w/ 4speed + od trans in it.

Then sand out any rough spots and paint Sand (OD HumVee paint) as it is great at hiding scuffs and dings ~ not to mention durable as ^*&(^&

Though, I'm hoping to sell off some of the extras to finance some of the work. But with all the extra parts, I'm sure I'll make out like a bandit in the end.
As I trim down the pic's, I'll post the process as I go.

Default some initial pics

The tub on the black one is rusted to crap and the top leaks like ... well, like not having a top at all.
The orange one has a great tub and top. But I want to go topless / half bra so the top doesn't matter.

If you mean the lifted 75 (I think that's the year), it's not mine.
The parts I found just happened to be next to it.
... but it is an awesome looking ride.

Default bedliner thoughts...

As far as the under-coat
... as well as the trim line down.
I was thinking of using the same spray-on bed liner.

Any thoughts on undercoating?
... or rock guard for the lower body?

~ is bedliner a good thought...
