But Ill keeps things posted as money starts rolling in. Any suggestions let me know!!!! Ill take advice from anyone.

Benedict1337 09-21-2010 03:43 PM

is it just me or do you have your headlights pointed at the sky?

b1heqh54 09-21-2010 03:59 PM

Hey those clear marker lights look pretty cool. Five minutes with a $5 can of black asphalt undercoating and a wire brush on those frame rails would make it a whole different truck. :icon_couchhide: (you asked...lol)

they're installed wrong. He posted a thread about it a few days ago. He should have them fixed by now.

cbr995 09-21-2010 04:59 PM

I hope so, lol.

Flamethrower exhaust? :icon_denk: That should be interesting.

hey! Are you having any issues with your paint? i.e. tiny splits, bad fading?

MTopper 09-21-2010 08:45 PM

i had that issue with my lights but that was because my ballasts weren't allowing my lights to settle to their right spot. since i yanked the high beams out for regular bulbs (i live in urban america) they went down and are great now.

i can't wait to see the rest

matt92 09-21-2010 10:25 PM

Ah thanks guys!!! Im planning on fixing the lights tommorow. But I just noticed my paint on my hood is going. Ive never waxed id :O so thats probably why, but, my hood is screwed anyways. It flew up on me while driving because i didnt close it all the way. Thanks for the feedback guys!!!!

But other than the hood paint, the only other part i notice is on driver side rear quarter panel looks like it's losing some.

matt92 09-22-2010 05:31 PM

Alright guys, I finally fixed the gap!!!!

I also figure out, that with projector headlights, YOU HAVE TO MODIFY TO MAKE THEM FIT!! http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...9214/front.jpg

What i did was cut out some more of the existing hole in the metal, to make the bigger lights fit. Otherwise they wont, and it'll make them crooked.

THE FINAL PRODUCT

MTopper 09-22-2010 07:06 PM

much better.... i still don't like halos but its ok... looks great now

cbr995 09-22-2010 07:09 PM

The high beams make your truck look sad, lol.
Glad you are able to fix the wonky fit.

matt92 09-22-2010 08:45 PM

yea, ive noticed that it makes is almost look like a sad face. lol. But thanks guys!

matt92 10-04-2010 10:14 PM

Just put on a new used hood today! paid $30 for it, and its black, but you can hardly tell!!

http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...l9214/hood.jpg

b1heqh54 10-04-2010 10:19 PM

Looks like a good one....can't beat the price.
Was it hard to gap and align it? Did you have an extra set of hands around?

matt92 10-04-2010 10:21 PM

to be honest, i just bolted it right up with no aligning problems, but yeah i had a friend with me, but im sure it couldve been done with just myself. the hood prop actually holds up both sides even when they arent bolted down.

but do you usually have to align and gap it?

b1heqh54 10-04-2010 10:31 PM

sometimes they can be a pia but having some help is great if you can get it - looks good - I kinda like the two tone look - then again, I can be a bit of a redneck lol - oh well, I like it.

matt92 10-04-2010 10:35 PM

thats what i said, but i really cant tell unless im close to my car, about 10 feet away and you cant even tell its black, but im glad it is, otherwise it would be really tacky.

b1heqh54 10-04-2010 10:48 PM

yessir, brown woulda been a whole different story :icon_razz:

matt92 10-05-2010 08:37 PM

Just got a brush guard for $30!! Im getting lucky! Ill try to put it on this weekend.

matt92 10-07-2010 10:19 PM

interior led's on the way, should be here tomorrow, and i just ordered some leds for my license plate.

cbr995 10-07-2010 10:26 PM

Where'd you order them from?

matt92 10-07-2010 10:46 PM

ebay.

matt92 10-07-2010 10:48 PM

btw CBR, im in daytona, were like 30 mins away lol.

cbr995 10-07-2010 10:49 PM

Yeah, I know. lol

matt92 10-07-2010 10:50 PM

well shoot, if you need a hand on your blazer, let me know.

matt92 10-08-2010 09:01 PM

Bad news guys, the brushguard didnt fit. I had it on, but it was only held on by 2 bolts that werent in the right spots.... i was pretty sad.

Benedict1337 10-09-2010 12:58 AM

that is always a bummer

matt92 10-09-2010 08:07 PM

im just going to buy a bull bar.

matt92 10-09-2010 11:31 PM

Just put my dome and rear LED's in. they are awesome!!

http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...-22-14_185.jpg

http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...-22-40_600.jpg

http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...-23-11_772.jpg

the pictures dont do it much justice. But i recommend everybody should switch to LED's whether they are white or colored.

matt92 10-30-2010 10:57 AM

Alright guys.... The halos are gone. Went back to stock.

ordered some 10000K hid's

and got myself some White led's for my gauge cluster.

Along with that, repainted the grill i've been putting off.

Heres the outcome.

Sanded it down with 400 like everyone told me. http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...-41-08_885.jpg

used some $4 krylon outdoor flat black.

also painted the orange bumpers flat black too

http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/k...-27-07_632.jpg

I messed up a little on the left side, but ill fix that later.

b1heqh54 10-30-2010 11:12 AM

Hey man I think you should paint the chrome on your bumper and the mouldings down the side with the same thing with the money you save after you read some truth at this link here. lol :icon_couchhide:

http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/ge...good-read.html

Benedict1337 10-30-2010 12:28 PM

why does everyone want blue lights? I think they look like crap. I have 4000K in my highs and lows they work very well

matt92 10-30-2010 12:39 PM

eh, i just like that look. But i mean, i know they dont provide alot of light, because my 12000K's didnt work very well. I just like to look of the whole thing.

matt92 10-30-2010 12:43 PM
