I took out the full spool and put an Eaton Posi back in my S10. Also went with a more streetable camshaft. Really like those M/T Street Radials you told me about. Haven't gone down a track in it since 2000
Sadly, the blazer has been put on the back burner for a bit. I had a family member pass away while i was deployed, so i inherited a couple classic cars (1968 Chevy II SS and 1955 Nomad) that i want to get put back together and roadworthy in his memory. Currently rebuilding the 350 sbc from the Chevy II and rebuilding the brake system on the nomad. Luckly both cars have Muncie 4 speeds so the trans don't need much work other than a reseal. But both cars have been sitting since the early 90s so they need a a lot of work just to get back on the road safely.
About the only update i have for the blazer is that i had to get a new driveshaft due to the 9in requiring a 2in longer driveshaft. I will have to get some picture of the fully installed 9in and driveshaft.
Other than that i have just driven the Blazer few times so far this year. Hopefully i will get it back on the track at the end of the month to see what kind of times it turns with the 9in setup.
I'm sorry to hear about the passing. My condolences.Question, I have a 2000 2 door blazer like you. Mine is 4X4 though ZR2. Would it be possible to swap in a 5.3 and keep the 4x4 intact? It's going to be a daily driver.
Not a huge update since i still need to get some pictures of the finished diff install.
But she moves with the new diff and E85 tuning.
rolled across the scales last weekend at 4140lbs with me in it and below was my fastest run.
It was consistent all day long in the low 10.60s and allowed me to take 2nd in my bracket class.
