Default Project ZR2

So last saturday a kid I know asked me if I was interested in trading vehicles. He has an 01 ZR2 blazer that's fully loaded with only 120,000 on the odo. I have a 96 blazer with 220,000 and lots of rust and dents. He wanted to trade because his broke down last month and he couldnt figure out what was wrong. I said sure lets trade and proceeded to pull his home. He had replaced the bat, alt, coil, starter, ignition control module, and crankshaft position sensor and it still wouldnt start. I gave it a tune up and she fired right up, but I noticed that the radiator was empty and when I checked the oil it was very milky. Yes the motor wasnt long for this world and yesterday she seized up. But all is not lost I have a spare 4.3 out of an 01 with 62k sitting in my garage. I still think it was a great trade since mine was worth maybe 800 bucks.

The kid had an aftermarket radio that he kept but he gave me the factory cd. He also wanted to keep the ZR2 wheels since he had 600 dollars worth of tires on them. This is what I traded for it. The damage was from a deer hit last fall that I replaced. The body looks nice in the pics but every panel had a dent or rust. The reason he wanted to trade is because I put an 80k mile motor in it 3 months ago so it looks like hell but runs great.

Boo for column shifters! lol. I love the console shift so much better.
Anyway, looks like a nice truck you got. I hope you didn't trade for a can of worms though. I'd hate to see it cost a lot of money to repair.

Very nice trade! Can't go wrong when you have a whole extra engine to throw in.
