So ill most likely be buying this lift in the next month or so. My question to all of you guys is how would this look with stock 235s. I can definitely swing the cash for the lift right now, but not tires for maybe a few months. I know it will probably drive just fine but the thought of putting a lift on and just keeping the same tires for a while makes me want to puke (and wish i was rich) so does anyone have pics of their trucks with stock tires

Also how much trimming do you think it would need to get 32's under it NO BODY LIFT but i dont mind cutting up the fenders as long as I can make them look somewhat nice

you would need alot of trimming the body lifts are only 140 on 4 wheel parts easy to install and the 2 in you cant even tell it has a body lift and you get more tire clearance. even with the body lift and 32 s you will still have to trim quite a bit if you planning on doing wheeling.

Real quick question about your zr2 tbars. How much of a difference is the front end of your truck? I have plenty of lift in the front end between my front end and procomp 9000's and the front end just feels very soft and the smallest bumps feel like a mountain or a ditch, I know they were the thickest 2 bar options available but seeing if you noticed a difference or possibly understand what im going through with mine

$500 for a 2.5" lift? seems like a waste of $$$ to me since you can get 2" with shackles and torsion bar lift.

True, you can. However then you put lots of stress on your front end and wear parts out much faster. This way you minimize that stress and don't pay for parts as often.

More money up front, less money in the long run. Makes perfect sense.

go ahead and crank the tbars 2 inches cause thats what i got out of the lift and in a year let me know how much money you have spent on replacing front end parts and ill let you know how much ive spent and i guarantee in two years you will have way more than 500 dollars put into replacing parts like the cv axles upper ball joints etc.

the zr2 bars definately make a difference and yes i do know what you are talking about i had the same problem. if you can easily find some buy them its worth it but dont pay over 100 dollars for the pair. it gives you a stiffer less spongy ride but make sure they are zr2 bars my friend got ripped off because he didnt watch them take the bars off the truck. good luck man

Alright cool thanks man. Yeah i can get them from a guy on the S10 forum. I seem to always stuff the tire up to the top of the fender too easily and i have about 5-6" of clearance and im going to trim the fenders more so I have more room and as i said the shocks i have are pretty stiff. Would you say it was a drastic difference?

One more thing how much did the differential drop lower the fornt axles and differential? Thanks for your help man i appreciate it

I paid $700 for a 3" lift on my 4runner so $500 sounds about right. I just wish this lift existed when my blazer was still alive would have saved me money and headahes. And i spend more than $500 replacing front end parts in the 2 years my blazer was lifted

The difference is enough to be satisfied its worth it and for offroad use it really is a huge difference in the ride. As far as the differential about a inch and a half and the angle is so much better I can go offroading and not worry about anything getting broken and that's why I bought this kit Reliability. And no problem any other questions?

i bought the 2-3 inch lift that has the new keys and shackles about 6 months ago. everything is still going fine and im able to run the 31 inch tires. yes u r all correct, getting the whole kit that comes with the new swing arms and shocks are best if u r going to stay at that height. but if u wanna go bigger like i will soon, 100$ for the keys and shackles is a good price for a quick lift. with some shock extensions you could stay with the shackles for a bit and not have to worry. but in the long run if u want a real lift and go mudding then it is better to get the proper lift with all the new parts. the 2 inch lift just doesnt seem worth it tho having to buy all those parts and price, you might as well get a 4 or 6. or a body.
