Good to hear, lookin to install this kit on my Z and use it for about 2" of lift (I dont like anything beyond a 1" BL). Probably will be enline with the 1 Ton Idler Arm conversion kit from Synergy Offroad as well.

Have they updated the kit to fix these problems? The website now says it keeps the CV angles where they should be and what not but is this really true?

A friend & I installed this kit on my blazer a couple weekends ago & so far I haven't had any issues with CV joints or boots.

Can you post a picture of how yours are angled? And i assure your cranked up 2.5"s?

Cranked up 2.5"?
It's lifted from stock the 2.5" that the kit does BUT keep in mind I had the t bars twisted an inch & 1/2 so I really I only got an inch or so perhaps of lift.
The benifit of installing the kit was better angles on the cv's & the TB's at a "stock" twist for better road manners ala the keys in the kit - not as harsh as with them twisted. Not to mention the tubular upper control arms that should be a lot stronger than the stamped steel POS that I was bending because of the 32 x 11.5 on 10" wide rims.
I'll get a pic or 2 tomorrow of the CV's etc.

Why? 8" is fine on anything up to a 12.50" wide tire.

Rottidog May 13, 2012 06:18 PM

They came with the 33" tires I got a couple years ago. When I switched tires to the 32's I had them mounted on those rims because A: I had them & B: they're not stock.

I understand. Did the diff drop make that much of a difference to help level out the cv's? If so around how much do you think?

Yeah they look a LOT better than when I had it with 1-1/2" T bar twist. I'll see if I can get a pic or 2 of how they are now. The angle of them is much nicer to the front end componants & the t-bars being back to a stock twist ala the keys that came with the kit makes the ride a lot nicer to me.
