Well today the oil pressure gauge is at 0 when idle flashing the check gauge then at 20 with throttle. Checked the oil and its at its normal spot. But it appears under the engine I see oil (or something) dripping from about 6 different spots which is getting on the exhaust causing it to smoke and make my car smell like oil. Not sure where it could be leaking from... engine is too hot to check right now. Temps didn't go above 210 so not sure what happened yet... Just need to find the leak and hope I didn't break anything.

had to post this seperately - is it knocking or running normally? You mentioned no coolant or oil but its hard to tell if it was just misreading or the gauge cluster is having a hell of a time displaying the true info and its been screwed for a hot minute.

Its been a few days. It was indeed the oil pressure switch! Swapped that out and it stopped leaking. After messing everything else up... Cracked the distributor by tightening the screw too much so I had to glue that back, then found out it was out of time since I couldnt get it to line up with my mark no matter where the oil shaft was turned. So I pulled out the distributor and glued it again so it broke off again. Put engine on TDC (lined the marks and made sure piston was as high as it would get) then lined up the rotor with 6 and it started right up (After a couple backfires from mixed up spark plug wires). Anyhow. Yes, thats exactly what it was. Im so glad it wasnt something like the intake gasket.

Your name though... All I saw in my email notification was "Mods replied to your build thread" Then saw a million links in your message. Thought I had broke some rule at some point on this thread lol

Nice! Im still on that whole no coolant/oil deal, what all happened with that? And i'd consider a replacement distributor if the housing is cracked, you can get away with glueing it for a little while but eventually engine bay heat and vapours will weaken it and it will split again.

I second this. You can buy a nice aluminum distributor for less than 50 bucks, and it's a big improvement over the plastic turd.

Really? Where would I find this? Was going to go to the junkyard for a distributor. $30

Well engine has been holding coolant and oil ever since the repair. My guess is the coolant disappeared trying to keep heat down with the low oil? Not sure... Im leaking freon everywhere tho. First couple times I parked after filling it, it left puddles everywhere... Rip... Im still having wobbling issues and swaying issues. Gonna change out driver wheel bearing tomorrow since its making noise and gets louder when yoy accelerate or spin it in the air faster. Plus my abs lights are on, maybe thisll clear those? If this doesn't fix my wobbling gonna check out control arm bushings after shocks are put on. Looking for cheap shocks thatll be good for occassional small 3,000lb loads but also for daily driving.

Besides the maintenance crap... I got my spare tire carrier installed and im loving how it looks. Just need a real rim. The spare looks bad.

Did it come factory with one and taken off? Or did you have to drill and install, and was the mounting bolts on the inside already there?
