So I just made myself a somewhat (resizing high res photos took some toying) quick and dirty sig. For the most part I like it as it is pretty simple. But I'm trying to think of some sort of border or something to put on it as I don't like the sharp edges much. Secondly I originally wanted to use this Rusty Metal Plate | Visual Design Core for the center instead of the lighter metal look thats there now. If anyone wants to take a stab at it that would fine by me.

As for any other suggestions...I'm all ears

I do like the bevel thing you got going...but the same thing happened when I did it...that text is kinda hard to read

 

Changed the color and added a shadow to the text. It's a bit easier to read now I think.
