poll FTW. hidden results aren't that important since you can not see what the stats are until you vote. as long as you dont scroll down to where people are like "oooh ABN! you're soOOoo big! I vote for you" (happens a lot) then it will not be ruined.

BTW sisk, as the chop shop super mod, I'm glad you are staying active. i think this contest is a good way to keep people involved that are not your common chatty posters. Good Call man!

 

Alright...a poll sounds fine to me. The only problem is we're limited in the amount of poll options we can do, so if we have too many entries we may not be able to have an actual poll, but rather a thread poll (ie you post up what # you vote for).
As for the hidden results that is something we are working on. It's an add on for the forum apparently. Kyle is working on getting it for us.

I remember seeing that Kyle was working on that, I just like the idea so I figured I'd throw it out there for when he gets it going.

 

well, you can always go with the randomization thing if we go over 10. At 10+ even if your pic get's bumped you can't be too upset. stop being such a sally and just enjoy the fact that there is that much participation.

shouldn't be a problem though... since it is proposed as bi-monthly, how long would you be out of the running if you win? (i.e. win one, skip one, then back in it?) Are the winners going to be excluded from playing in the following contest? Are the winners going to have say in the next assignment like the photoshop contests, or will it be more along the lines of you guiding us through Sisk? When are you Planning to kick this off? Are we going unadulterated photos, or is PhotoShoppery allowed? i need rules!!

 

Have multi"polls" and do like ROTM where each week you get qualified to become POTM?

 

I think winner should pick the next one and they should be able to decide if they want that weeks pictures as originals or allow the use of an editing program.

If we stretched it out to a month it might get kind of boring, bimonthly sounds about right.

I like the winner chooses style. As for the editing it doesn't matter to me either way. i can't edit, but editing is part of photography now. No way of policing it's use, so it should just be a gentlemen's agreement to use it, not use it, or use it in moderation...

I understand that editing is a big part, I can do it, but I think it'll be nice for people that can't if it's as you say a gentlemans agreement if that is the winners choice.
