Now I'm no mathematician, but what is the difference if the pics count as 1 point, 3 points, or 30 points, it will all work out the same. Now if you could rate each pic on a scale of 1 to 3 points it would matter, but as it is now it will have the same outcome.

Yeah you guys are right, it makes no difference if I make the votes count as 1 point or 5,000 points for each. I just thought it would be cool to have a higher score this week...something different. That's all.
I didn't do the ranking system because I find it hard to tally up the votes, and I just don't like the idea of it lol. I like it much better picking your top favorites instead of ranking them...It's what we decided on when we first started this contest.
