where to get photoshop?

anybody know where i can get a photoshop download for free? or a trial version?

oktain 10-25-2010 03:08 PM

Adobe.com, download a CS5 trial

84BlazerS10 10-26-2010 12:16 PM

Yeah, you could download the trial I'm not sure if we are allowed to speak about illegal downloading here or not so...

oktain 10-26-2010 12:26 PM

if you like it, just buy an unlock code/serial key.

Keygen's are not allowed though, espcially the one by tam/CORE that you can get off those illegal torrenting websites. I would advise against getting it because then you're stealing a $500 program. (or however much they're making us pay)

Let's keep it legal!

Ban-hammah is ready.

Maybe close this thread here and now? And was that directed at me Gary?

skotti 10-26-2010 05:02 PM

Yeah, my brother got me my copy of windows and my copy of photoshop from the school for $10 each lol.

wlorton 10-26-2010 06:58 PM

Not to be under the ban hammer.... But what is stopping adobe from getting free verisons they created on torrent sites? Like ones that lock the computer until paying and getting a code? Idk, maybe I am a D***, but I would find it hilarious to watch 1,000's download a free copy just to get bit in the a**........

TripleBlackBlazer 10-26-2010 07:11 PM

Directed at everyone. I wanted to leave it open in case there were further discussions of legally obtaining the program.

I don't see a need to lock it if everyone can abide by that.

wlorton 10-26-2010 07:29 PM

To continue the discussion.... Free verisons are most likely available if you work for a company or employer that has unlimited licenses or if you are a student or work in an applicable field you can contact and get discounts.

I know that for AutoCad, being a student, you download the trial verison and apply for a student license, the only catch is that there is a watermark on printed copies of your work, but if you are student, thats no big deal.... Sorry TBB for both continued talk and the quote ;)

Just get GIMP.
It's not as good as Photoshop, but it'll do many of the same things. All for free, too.
click!

matt92 10-26-2010 10:07 PM

im so familiar with photoshop so i would still like to use that.

But i AM a student, so how do i get this student discount thing?

or does anyone wanna sell me cs5?

matt92 10-26-2010 10:09 PM

yeeeaaaah, looks like im not buying it directly from adobe.

I'd rather spend $600 on my blazer.

but that student discount!!! how do i get it?!?

TripleBlackBlazer 10-26-2010 10:26 PM

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=adobe+student+discount

More specifically:

Save up to 80% on Adobe products

cbr995 10-26-2010 10:36 PM

$450? Not bad considering it did cost...

$1200!!!! *faints*

wlorton 10-27-2010 07:39 AM

Are you a high school student or a college student? Go talk to the tech department and ask them if they can give you one under their license, only problem is that you can only use it while a student there.... but another idea....

I know here at Bradley, depending on the department you are in, you can get Microsoft Office, and a bunch of other free programs, unfortunately its set up for ME majors, and business majors, and I think arts....

oktain 10-27-2010 09:28 AM

Depending on your program at school you'd probably get questioned as to "Why do you need this"?

Just make up some BS story about a project you have to do for a class and you need photoshop.

matt92 10-27-2010 12:57 PM

yeah, im a full time student at Daytona State College, and i actually saw photoshop CS5 for $200, but i mean, theres got to be a way that someone at the college could hook me up, but ill try the tech department.

TripleBlackBlazer 10-27-2010 04:41 PM

Just Photoshop or the entire CS5 line? Either way, when regular Photoshop Extended CS5 is a cool grand, $200 is cheap.

cbr995 10-27-2010 06:09 PM

well, whenever I get into Seminole State, I'm seeing if I can get hooked up. haha

matt92 10-27-2010 10:59 PM

yeah, its just the CS5, but they sell all of the adobe programs around $200.... i think i have an idea on how to make money :)
