Soyou got up this morning after meticulously detailingyou Blazer last nightright? You see a big splat of nasty bird poo full of acidic purple boysen berry chunks in it... you are ticked off at this point and after a few swear words you declare war on the birds that put your precious paint job in jeopary of weathering. You get out the shotgun and kill a few of them over the course of a week. They are still under your car shelter and still taking dumps on your hood....
You hang up a rubber snake and they crap on it too...

Seriously. I put one up under the shelter and they won't get within 20 feet of it. And it scares mom on occasions too which is worth it in and of itself...

Picked it up at a street vendor before a Veteran's day parade.

 

Good idea! The birds congregate on the electrical wire that runs from our house to the street (where I often park), so I may have to get one of those and try it out...

 

I was surprised at how well they work. I have not seen a mouse under there either since I put it up. The birds will get used to it after a while, so you have to keep moving it around. I had it perched in the trusses of the barn, but now its sitting on the doghouse in front of where I park.

 

we used an owl to keep wood-peckers off our deck and it worked great as long as we moved it weekly. i dont have to worry about birds at home but at work i park under a power line they hammer it if i dont park just right. we all hate parking there definately in the summer. although when i was off for a week i spread a whole bag of bird seed right where we parked so the birds would cover they other guys cars while iwas gone

thats exactly right. they were pissed when i got back. i was the only one who found it funny. i dont know why.
