well i took a trip for a week and left my windows cracked in my blazer. well it rained and now my floorbord and seats are wet and smell bad. i got most of the water out with a towel and then vaccumed it but what to do to get the rest out and the smell?

what kind of vacum did you use? i would use an upolstry vacum to get the moisture pulled out of the seat.

I would vacum out what u can, it may take awhile to get all the water out, and if you have a garage and a fan leave the fanon it over night or if you get a sunny day just leave it out with the windows down (if you can do so)if the smell is still there try Febreze, it is amazing stuff! hope this works for ya

thanks i will do that. i did vaccum it but it was just a shop vac. i think i might get it all steam cleaned. but if any one has any other idias i am listening.

The smell is probably from mold...and if it's in the seat padding...it'll probably always smell[&o]

Depends how bad the mold is. At CCity they just had to pay to replace a G35's interior carpeting because of a poorly placed firewall grommet that let water into the cabin. Mold couldn't be removed without replacing carpet.

You gotta try and get it all dry without it molding too badly! bake it!

so how would you go about geting the water out. it just happend. so it is not moldy yet but it is starting to smell differant . i have vaccumed 3 times and now it is to dark to. and i have a fan going. tomorow i am taking the seats out and leting them get some sun. is that all good

grey/blue. i will most likely get new ones or re-do them
