Back on topic...did you get the sap off?

I don't know if this would work on the truck or not, but we use hand disinfectant (you know, that Purell stuff) and it takes sap right off. I know it works because I've done it in the last week. I'm not sure if it would help the truck because of the alcohol content though.

You would definitely have to rewax the portion of the paint where you applied the stuff, but you have to do the same thing if you use GooGone or similar products anyhow.

If i get sap on my ride I usually just take a rag and soak it with a little bit of gas. with a little scrubbing it will come right off. be sure to wash the area and hit it with some wax after you are done though.

Yeah its off... I have trouble with my neck and shoulders. causes a LOT of problems with my hands, arms and just way too much pain. I tried the simple fixes and when they didnt work I brought it to a detail place and they got it off for me.

Getting back to the original subject. Alcohol gets stubborn sap off, but buy some bug and tar remover from walmart, its like a spray wax or detailer and it also gets road grime, bird shat (which is probably a problem in NY!),exhaust ****, and some other sticky things.

A little body shop secret...rubbing alcohol. Just be quick. If left on too long, it will soften the paint.
