Turtle Wax Black Box

I was at advance auto looking to get some new quick detail because I ran out and I came across the black box. It must be pretty new because I never noticed it before. I have to say that this stuff is by far the best I've ever used. now if you don't have a black car you are out of luck. This stuff is specifically designed for black cars. pretty cool. My truck shines like its never shined before even with all the scratches.... took me 3 hours to do the 7 steps but I think it was worth it. if you have a black car/truck and you really want to see it shine I highly recommend trying this stuff out.

84BlazerS10 07-01-2010 04:47 PM

Yeah, I don't think pictures ever quite do justice like my blazer looks much better in person also lol. That looks really shiny in the pictures lol I can't imagine what it looks like in person.

Benedict1337 07-01-2010 05:19 PM

Going to have to keep an eye out for this stuff... Looks awesome!

DKSDAD 07-01-2010 11:12 PM

Thanks for the hint, How was it priced?

cbr995 07-01-2010 11:50 PM

Nice!

Benedict1337 07-02-2010 12:04 AM

it was $20 for the kit. 2 bottles of quick detail. 1 bottle of pre-wax polish, 1 bottle of wax, and 2 turtle wax pads. not a bad deal imo

lol, I bet but going mudding is fun... :P and that isn't a bad price at all for what all the kit includes.

Benedict1337 07-02-2010 12:50 AM

No, not bad at all thanks for the info.

I'm sold. My Rainex wax is garbage. There are tons of different waxes, so I'm glad to have a reliable review on one of them!

Now if only it would stop raining every afternoon of everyday and I could possibly clean it.

Thanks for the heads up! Hopefully this stuff makes it to Canada if it isn't already.

Benedict1337 07-02-2010 03:01 AM

you guys have advance auto's up there? I guess most auto places carry turtle wax. I'm sure you can find it

nj4x4blaze 07-02-2010 05:51 AM

Hmmm I need to find this for my wifes car.

oktain 07-02-2010 09:12 AM

I need to find this for my Sierra... there's a few scratches that could use this. Damn zippers and people looking inside my truck...

Unlimitedsp 07-02-2010 10:55 AM

This stuff looks great at first, but its only a temp fix. It's a tinted wax that covers/fills the swirl marks and scratches not a fix. They will show back up after a few weeks. So you will have to rewax often to keep it looking good. Use it on the pontiac but wish it would last a bit longer.

Benedict1337 07-02-2010 12:16 PM

I agree. Turtle wax had a similar wax that I used it came with a thing called the "chip stick" it was supposed to help scratches and restore color. I'm guessing thats the equivalent to the black box for cars that aren't black
