Yeah don't let him take it out himself. He's only going to be concerned with the motor and tranny and not so much with the truck. You don't want any wires/hoses getting destroyed if you can help it.

I agree with the JTR manual. Good book to read before you start the swap.

Partriot just came out with a new header for us. Check them out too.

How is it on info for the 2nd gen Blazer? The website lists stuff that's mostly for the 1st gen, and mostly 2wd parts...
My version has a little info about the swap. Maybe the newer version has more info.

my verson of themanual is mostly for the mid 80's to early 90 blazers
not much info on the newer generation

You will love your blazer with a V8 in it. I want to do this swap to my 95 when the 4.3 dies on me.

hehe i havent been looking for the newer generation stuff in the book but i havent seen any!
and ya i should have some fun with that engine
should impress the kids at school too :P

Well, the site says not a whole bunch has changed, so... Maybe they didn't need to change anything, lol.

I'm still gonna try get ahold of an LS7... *grins evilly*

I dont think I've even seen a 2nd gen with a 350............Tim you gotta take me for a ride after you put it in your 2000!!!! [8D]I'll bring the doughnuts

I remember seeing a video of someones 2 door 2nd gen with a 6.0L in it... Or was I just dreaming? lol

Default Q: motor mounts?

I have a 1986 s10 blazer that im putting a 383 in. can anyone tell me where i can find the conversion motor mounts, or maby even a kit with the headers and all that junk for a good price?Any replies would be helpfull.
