Default 4.3/262 or 4.3/265

I am still looking for headers and not sure which ones. Does the 97 Blazer have air injected manifold? Is it a 262 or a 265?

The 4.3L v6 is a 262ci engine. An easy calculation, since the 4.3L v6 is, for all intensive purposes, a small block 350ci v8 with 2 cylinders lopped off. So 350ci*(6/8)=262.5ci. If you convert from Liters to Cubic Inches, 1L = 61.02ci so 4.3L = 262.4ci.

Just to present the other side of the coin if you are reading catalogs. It may well be that you see a 265 listed. I have had this confusion happen also. No one is perfect??

The 265 is the first incarnation of the SBC v8, before the 283 came along. Dont buy those headers! Too many holes!!!!

On fords its interesting that the fist 302 was a 221, I think, had one, but easy to forget. Sometimes I try so hard to forget, I actually do. I did own the precurser to the 340-360 chryslers also. A 273 that made 275 horse. (After some slight mods)
