Angry Fuel issue

Hello all,

My main issue is when I get gas I can only pump about 5-10 dollars worth and it clicks as if it were full even though I know it's not. The gas will back up and overflow out of the entry point. WTF is going on.

Sounds like maybe the vent hose is clogged in some way I'd start with that

ya I've seen that before - try drawing the fuel nozzle out about half-way when filling - if that doesn't work then twist the handle almost upside down to about the 2 o'clock position - sounds stupid as f**K i know but some days thats the only way i can get the gas into the tank

I THINK it has to do with the 'anti-siphon' feature in the filler pipe - basically picture a ping pong ball that sits in a cradle inside the filler pipe - the idea is that gas will flow around the ball but someone trying to thread a hose down into your tank to steal your gas can't get it in.

I've been fixing up a Jimmy for the wife and I HOPE tearing that ball out of that pipe will fix the 'fill' issue I've been having - going to be a couple weeks before I know tho - doing bodywork now :S
