Default Fuel Pump

I've been having a problem with my fuel pump. First it started a whine now my fuel guage is jumping eradically especially when it starts to get low. I've been reading on the net that a lot of people seem to have a problem with their fuel pump around 50k-70k on miles. Now I've also someof the people who replaced the fule pump with the same stock part developed the problems again. Is there a good after market pump? That doesn't wear out so fast, thx for the time and info.

Also I recently replaced my stock radiator with a larger core raditor, and changed to the regular green anti-freeze. I had a problem with the old stuff turning into putty/rocks inside my raditor... what my quetion is, does the green antifreeze work the same on the engine as the other stuff? I heard that the other was supposed to protect aluminum parts. But my larger core radiator keeps my engine about 20-30 degrees cooler. I was just wondering if I would run into a problem later by running the green stuff.

Default RE: Fuel Pump

the dex-cool (red stuff) and the glycol (green stuff) don't mix. they will create a gel that will clog up your radiator. i recommend a good flush and put the dex-cool back in. its and extended life antifreeze that will protect against corrosion better.
