Default i need help with a carb 350 swap in my 02 4x4

i am new to the forum and i have been searching for a few days and i cant seem to find what im looking for. can any one help me with what im trying to do? im looking at putting a gen 1 "350" carberated engine in my 02 4x4. i know about the mounts and the headers, but my question is how do i get the tranny to kick down? i dont think there is a tranny cable that i can hook to the carb! i think it is all controlled with the TPS. i have the use of a 7000 snap on programer/scanner tool, and this isnt my first time doing something like this. i just put a 454BB in my 4th gen camaro! . but i blew the motor and i got a brand new 350 .60 over, and i figured i could go carb and it would be easier to work on! so if any one has any ideas please can you let me know!

Thank you.
r/Mike

might be able to get an older tranny computer from a diesel chev truck, but i don't know if that would control that new of a tranny. I'd sugest a better transmission any way.

blazers trannys are built for a 4.3 motor, obviously you can bolt up a 350 to them, but they are week, couple tickles of the throttle in the good spots and your gonna be a sitting duck. you deffinatly seem to be going all out on the truck, you might aswell drop a few extra bucks and get like wally there says and get a diesel tranny, 1 it"ll be able to handle the extra amount of torque and 2 get rid of electronics all together sense your going carburated. you seem to be making a big deal about the 350 in the litte truck, you might aswell put a solid front axel swap, and get a 4speed bull low
otherwise, im just gonna say gooodluck!, i hope what you wanna do works out

Your going to have to get away from the computer. That will be work because so much is affected by the computer. 4L60 will work with a V8 but I would do some building.

Get a built 700r4 or 2004r trans and a throttle valve cable from bowtie overdrives and that will solve all your problems.
